Od dzieciństwa związana ze sztuką najpierw tańcem (w wieku 16 lat zdobywa Międzynarodową Mistrzowską Klasę „S” w Tańcu Towarzyskim), potem teatrem i fotografią, którą w tamtym czasie zajmuje się amatorsko. Kończy prestiżowe XIV Liceum Ogólnokształcące we Wrocławiu w klasie teatralnej współpracującej z Instytutem Grotowskiego. Następnie studiuje Politologię na Uniwersytecie Wrocławskim potem Stosunki Międzynarodowe w Collegium Civitas. W trakcie studiów otrzymuje nagrodę Ministra Edukacji za najlepsze wyniki w nauce oraz stypendium w prestiżowej Sciences-Po w Paryżu. W 2007 roku uzyskuje Dyplom Magistra Stosunków Międzynarodowych. Jednak nie porzuca drogi artystycznej, w 2010 roku kończy Warszawską Szkołę Filmową na wydziale aktorskim, oraz otrzymuje Dyplom Aktorski ZASP. W latach 2010-2011 jest słuchaczką studium dramatopisarstwa w Laboratorium Dramatu w Warszawie. Występuje na deskach  Teatru  Praga (Exit 8), w filmie (Pod Światło) i telewizji (Klan). Po kilku latach pracy na scenie i planie filmowym, powraca do sztuk wizualnych – głównie fotografii, którą zajmuje się już zawodowo. Od 2012 r. publikuje i wystawia swoje pierwsze prace od razu  zdobywając uznanie oraz  nagrody (m.in. specjalna nagroda Unicef, Brązowy Medal na XI Biennale Fotografii Artystycznej „Dziecko”. Publikuje w  prestiżowym „Photographize” New York, „Photography Monthly” London, Fine Eye Magazine, EYE Photo Magazine, Gallery of Refined Art, wystawa Vision Center Cork Ireland).

W 2010 uczestniczy w serii warsztatów aktorskich nowatorską metodą „Dream Workshop” Elisabeth Kemp, znanej jungistki, nauczycielki aktorstwa z Actor’s Studio w Nowym Jorku. Początkuje to długoletnią przyjaźń i rozwój technik pracy ze snem i aktywną imaginacją według teorii Carla G. Junga. Techniki otrzymane od Elisabeth będą jej towarzyszyć w pracy zarówno filmowej jak i fotograficznej i staną się kanwą jej twórczości.

Od 2012 r pobiera lekcje reżyserii u Jacka Golda, brytyjskiego reżysera filmowego znanego min. z „Dotknięcia Meduzy”. Już wtedy marzy o realizacji wizualnego kina autorskiego. W 2014 r zakłada firmę producencką COPALFILM. Decyduje się na realizację filmu UMBRA, w którym łączy wszystkie swoje pasje: film, taniec, wyrafinowanie obrazu, oraz psychologię głębi, której poświęca coraz więcej czasu.

Na zaproszenie prof. Leszka Mądzika wykonuje zdjęcia promujące jego spektakl „Czas Kobiety” z A.M. Jopek (plakat, billboardy, katalog).

W 2022 realizuje pierwszą indywidualną wystawę w Polsce w Galerii Sztuki sceny plastycznej KUL w Lublinie na zaproszenie prof Leszka Mądzika. ROMANTYZM I. W swoich pracach skupia się na kobiecie, jej zranieniach i procesach prowadzących do uwolnienia poprzez kontakt z archetypem. Specjalizuje się w portrecie zarówno realistycznym jak i konceptualnym oraz pejzażu. W wystawie penetruje motyw śmierci i przemijania.

Ma na koncie kilka wystaw indywidualnych: MY MEXICO, ROMANTYZM. ODZYSKIWANIE SIEBIE, ROMANTYZM I, POLSKA SZLACHECKA, KOBIETY DIABŁA. Wystawa ROMANTYZM została nagrodzona na festiwalu filmowym Frida Film Festival za najlepszą fotografię kobiecą.

W filmie UMBRA, debiucie reżyserskim z 2015 r., pokazuje historię traumy uwiedzenia z perspektywy świata wewnętrznego dorosłej kobiety. Wszystkie obrazy pojawiające się w filmie pochodzą z prawdziwych przeżyć realnych osób, które autorka spotkała w trakcie zbierania materiału do filmu. Realizacja filmu staje się wieloletnim procesem badawczym świata wewnętrznego traumy oraz jego symbolicznych reprezentacji. Jego narracja opiera się na symbolice obrazu, którą Urszula Nawrot konsekwentnie buduje pod każdym względem. Począwszy od wyboru lokacji, scenografii, przez światło, ujęcia oraz choreografię… Do każdej ze scen tworzy kompletny wideoboard, dopracowany w najdrobniejszym detalu, który sama montuje i przygotowuje. Jest nie tylko reżyserką i producentką, ale także autorką scenariusza oraz koncepcji plastycznej filmu, jednym z autorów zdjęć i montażystką. Film zdobył uznanie autorytetów z dziedziny psychologii i psychiatrii w Polsce i za granicą min: Prof. Bogdan de Barbaro, Peter A. Levine. Używany jest jako materiał dydaktyczny na kursach dotyczących traumy.

W chwili obecnej pracuje nad pełnometrażowym filmem autorskim. Na co dzień pracuje jako fotografka oraz autorka zdjęć, montażystka i kolorystka w produkcjach realizowanych przez własną firmę i nie tylko. Wykonuje na życzenie terapeutyczne sesje zdjęciowe, które eksplorują świat wewnętrzny klientki umożliwiając doświadczenia wykrytego kompleksu psychicznego z poziomu archetypu.

Zainteresowania: psychologia (wczesna trauma, archetypowy system samoochrony psychiki, wewnętrzne obiekty psychiki), filozofia, malarstwo, sztuki walki.

Urszula Nawrot ma I stopień mistrzowski w Wing Tsun Kung Fu.

Since her early years, she has been associated with the arts, initially through her participation in dance, where she won the International Master Class „S” in Ballroom Dancing at the age of 16, followed by her involvement in theater and photography, both of which were her amateur pursuits at the time. She has graduated from the prestigious 14th Secondary School in Wrocław in the theater class, cooperating with the Grotowski Institute. Subsequently, she pursued a degree in Political Science at the University of Wrocław and then pursued a degree in International Relations at Collegium Civitas i Warsaw. In her studies, she received the award of the Minister of Education for the best academic results and a scholarship to the prestigious Sciences-Po in Paris. She has obtained a Master’s Diploma in International Relations in 2007. However, she does not abandon her artistic path; in 2010, she graduated from the Warsaw Film School acting department and received the ZASP Acting Diploma. In the years 2010–2011, she pursued a course in playwriting at the Drama Laboratory in Warsaw. She performs on stage at Praga Theater (Exit 8), in movies (Pod Świato) and on television (Klan). After several years of experience working on stage and film sets, she has returned to the visual arts, specifically photography, which she has been proficient in for several years. She started publishing and exhibiting her first works in 2012, immediately gaining recognition and awards (including a special UNICEF award and a Bronze Medal at the 11th Biennial of Artistic Photography „Child”). She has been featured in prestigious publications such as „Photographize” in New York, „Photography Monthly” in London, Fine Eye Magazine, EYE Photo Magazine, the Gallery of Refined Art, and the Vision Center Cork Ireland exhibition.

In 2010, she participated in a series of acting workshops utilizing the innovative „Dream Workshop” methodology taught by Elisabeth Kemp, a renowned Jungian and acting instructor from the Actor’s Studio in New York. This initiates a long-term friendship and the development of techniques for working with sleep and active imagination according to the theory of Carl G. Jung. The techniques that Elisabeth has imparted to her will serve as a valuable resource for her in both film and photographic endeavors, and will serve as the foundation for her creative endeavors.

Since 2012, she has been taking directing lessons with Jacek Gold, a British film director known for his work on „The Medusa Touch.” She had already expressed her desire to establish a visual-auteur cinema. In 2014, she started a company called COPALFILM. She decides to make the film UMBRA, which combines all her passions: film, dance, the sophistication of images, and psychological research, which she’s increasingly interested in.

In 2022, she will have her first individual exhibition in Poland at the Art Gallery of the KUL art scene in Lublin ROMANTICISM I.  In her works, she focuses on the woman, her wounds and the processes leading to release through contact with the archetype. She specializes in both realism and conceptual portraits and scenic shots. The exhibition delves into the themes of mortality and transience.

She has had several individual exhibitions: MY MEXICO, ROMANTICIZM. RECOVERING YOURSELF, ROMANTICISM AND, NOBLE POLAND, DEVIL’S WOMEN. The ROMANTICISM exhibition was awarded at the Frida Film Festival for the best women’s photography.

In the film UMBRA, which was her directorial debut in 2015, she depicts the traumatic experience of trauma of seduction from the perspective of an adult woman’s inner world. All images appearing in the film come from the real experiences of real people whom the author met while collecting material for the film. The process of making the film evolves into a sustained investigation into the internal world of trauma and its symbolic representations. Urszula Nawrot consistently builds on the symbolism of the image in every aspect of its narrative.Starting with choosing where to shoot, designing the set, lighting, taking pictures, and performing. She creates a complete video board for each scene, perfecting every little thing, and then assembles and prepares herself. She is not only the director and producer, but also the author of the script and visual concept of the film, as well as a cinematographer and editor. The film garnered the acclaim of renowned experts in the field of psychology and psychiatry both in Poland and abroad, including Prof. Bogdan de Barbaro and Peter A. Levine. It is utilized as instructional material in trauma courses.
